Clarification from the agency
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties- Plans and manages the day-to-day operation of a food service program where sit-down restaurant dining and catering are a regular, substantial basis of the total food operation.
- Develops daily, catering, and specialty menus.
- Balances nutritional values of menus and ensures the quality of the total food service program.
- Conducts regular inspections and evaluations to ensure safety proper food storage, kitchen sanitation, and overall efficiency of operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a Tier 1 background investigation to include a medical examination.
- Work a rotating shift that includes mornings, days, nights, and weekends.
- The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
- Lifting requirement of 40lbs. Lifting and moving objects weighing up to 40lbs.
Qualifications:- Culinary work experience in sit-down restaurant or catering operations which provided the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to manage and supervise a food service program as described in this listing.
- Successful completion of an accredited culinary program may be substituted for work experience.
- Valid driver's license to operate government vehicle.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
