**Responsibilities:**
- Assist nursing staff in preparing patients and operating room environment for surgery
- Work closely with medical staff during surgical procedures
- Responsible for sterilization process, including inspecting, cleaning, assembling, warping, and sterilizing equipment
**Training and Development:**
No prior experience in the medical field is required, as comprehensive training is provided by the U.S. Army.
Candidates with a current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification may be exempt from some training requirements.
Job training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 19 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
Some of the skills you will learn include emergency medical treatment, basic nursing care, knowledge of the human body, minor surgical procedures, clinical laboratory procedures, and methods for diagnosing diseases.
