Summary About the Position : Serves as a Training Specialist responsible for supporting implementation, evaluation, development, and delivery of a variety of distributed learning training products. located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Responsibilities Coordinates, reviews, validates, and evaluates a wide range of multimedia products as a part of the Instructional Technology Team. Provides AMEDD DL consultation for customer training and LMS hosting requirements. Evaluates instructional goals, objectives, source materials, resources, target audience requirements, and other factors to recommend the most effective. Collaborates with delivery system points of contact (POCs) and communicates hosting requirements in alignment with system owner and HHQ requirements. Presents briefings and / or papers to explain, market, and justify training strategies to activities within the AMEDDCOS, as well as external agencies. Specialized Experience : Your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which is defined as design of courseware for instructional technology with various distributed learning (DL) platforms, such as Blackboard, Army Training Information System - Learning, and Joint Knowledge Online in providing customer support; monitoring distributed learning training to identify technical issues and develop recommendations; and experience in managing and using information systems to analyze data and develop organizational reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education : Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as : Education, or a related field of study. OR Combination of Education and Experience : A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
