Job Description
U.S Bank is seeking an experienced Event Planner who will be tasked with the support of planning and executing mid to large-scale in-person meetings and conferences. The Event Planner will work in a team environment as part of the Corporate Event Management (CEM) team, while working closely with senior leadership and other internal partners throughout the company.
This position demands extensive and advanced understanding and application of event planning principles, concepts, practices and industry standards while working in a high-volume position with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the operational strategy including project plans, experience design and execution, budget management, registration, and all other logistics – within virtual, hybrid or in-person events.
Develop cross-functional timelines, detailed project plans, and thoughtfully planned workstreams.
Build and foster internal partner trust by initiating and nurturing strong partnerships.
Effectively manage resources to deliver against competing event schedules.
Develop and own relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies and vendors to ensure best-in-class work is consistently delivered.
Deliver post event reports with data-driven analysis including attendee feedback, goal attainment, recommendations for future event improvements, and drive and deliver best practice documents.
Support the advancement of a SMMP across U.S. Bank to optimize the event infrastructure by designing and strengthening operational, analytical, and financial processes.
Stay ahead of the latest experiential innovations and trends in the industry.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Eight or more years of meeting and event planning experience
Meeting planner certification (CMP)
Ability to travel
Preferred skills and experience
Superior project management, time management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker and creative problem-solver, able to develop a vision and bring it to life with actionable plans.
Experience that demonstrates ability to create new, in-person, virtual and blended event programs.
Extensive knowledge of event-related technology tools, including expertise in virtual event platforms.
Proven ability to lead through influence at all levels of an organization, to achieve timely, data-driven, thoughtful decisions.
Must thrive in an environment of fast-pace, rapid change, and competing and changing tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Teams.
Meeting planner certification (CMP), preferred.
Ability and flexibility to travel,
Financial industry experience a plus.
Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
