Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Business Line Quality Assurance (BLQA) Lead Analyst responsible for the execution of quality assurance testing activities and management support within Independent Risk Review and Assessment (IRRA), a second line of defense independent testing function.

The Lead Analyst will conduct test preparation, test execution and identification of control and process weaknesses through testing activities; Propose changes to business line procedures or controls to improve any process gaps; Maintain testing documentation in keeping with department's policies and creating comprehensive audit trails/work papers and assessing and documenting appropriate test conclusions; Ensure proficient knowledge of the operations of the functional areas; Monitor key risk indicators and emerging risks to identify potential edits or updates for existing test scripts/procedures; Perform routine to moderately complex testing and control assessment activities in accordance to the annual test plan; Identify control deficiencies and documenting test results; Lead collaboration sessions with the business unit to vet test findings and review testing results; Identify and document the process to validate test populations and pull samplings; Utilize effective verbal communication of testing results to the BLQA Manager and for responding to and/or escalating significant risks as appropriate; Maintain accurate and complete records and preparing statements and reports; and Provide project and analytical support for medium projects and/or assisting with larger, more complex projects.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than six years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Advanced understanding of operational risk and management standards, the common definition of internal controls, and how control frameworks are designed to operate to mitigate risks
  • Advanced Risk, Compliance, and Audit competencies.
  • Strong test design and execution experience.
  • Deep understanding of the business line’s operations, products, services, systems, and associated risks.
  • Strong business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address risks.
  • Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Advanced process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
  • Applicable professional certifications (CPA, CIA, etc.) are preferred.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00

Salary : $105,400 - $124,000
