The Manufacturing Plant Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the blast and paint shops, ensuring workflow, timely communication between departments, and efficient resource utilization. This role is responsible for maintaining schedules, tracking inventory, and assisting with compliance to safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in scheduling and planning production of the blaster and paint shops based on demand, capacity, and material availability
- Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements in coordination with the supervisors
- Receiving - checking in all job material, verifying all paperwork and certification are correct
- Assist with production control - creating and assigning routes to job material using Tekla (software)
- Filling in for Logistic – managing flow of materials to customer
- Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs
- Support plant leadership in enforcing safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste
- Coordinate daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely production
- Communicate with department leads to track progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure production goals are achieved
- Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods; coordinate with procurement and logistics teams
- Assist in the implementation of safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or related field is preferred
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing or production coordination role is preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, time management and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Tekla system knowledge is a plus
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles is a plus
