This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, IBCT Product Line, Supply Branch, Baltimore, Maryland.
Qualifications:
Applicants at the GS-9 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal service;OR successful completion of master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;
OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience at the GS-9 level include: managing inventory items for a program, and initiating and monitoring the procurement of supply support-related items; identifying the need for changes in expenditures and stocking levels based on order and usage records; managing a budget for the procurement of material and services in support of managed items; analyzing operational reports and plans, work schedules, and other data; coordinating supply support for a program in such related areas as Provisioning, Cataloging, Inventory Management, Procurement, and Accounting; recommending solutions for inventory supply problems for material support-related actions; and developing close working relationships with inventory managers of other services or agencies and with program managers of major contractors.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
