Job Title: Clinical/ Administrative FTEE Allocation Manager
About the Role:
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. To be eligible, you must meet specific requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. The VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office determines award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (1 to 5 years) after reviewing the EDRP application. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and qualified candidates will be considered as vacancies become available.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical/Administrative FTEE Allocation Management:
The allocation of clinical/administrative full-time equivalent (FTEE) will be determined by policy. This may include managing patient complaints, patient advocacy concerns, patient safety events, requests for information, congressional inquiries, staff complaints or conflict, interdepartmental conflict, and process issues.
Performance Metrics and Quality Outcomes:
The position involves innovative methods to optimize collaboration amongst staff, disciplines, and processes to meet and/or exceed department benchmarks, metrics, and key performance indicators. These include quality outcomes and measures, process improvements, patient experience scores, Joint Patient Safety Reports, Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning data, Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set, All Employee Survey scores, and other metrics as determined.
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
This role provides department-level input in strategic planning, budget, mission, operational planning, and policy development for local and network efforts. It also utilizes current trends and relevant theories to design, implement, and measure integrated programs and activities to achieve clinical and administrative goals of the medical center and/or network.
Consultation and Expertise:
The position serves as a consultant to medical center staff and the greater community in areas of expertise. It promotes a practice environment that empowers staff to provide compassionate and efficient care and addresses ethical issues impacting patients and staff.
Work Schedule and Requirements:
The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with approximately one week of Critical Lab Value Notification per quarter by phone only. A health examination must be successfully completed prior to this assignment and periodically thereafter as required by the Occupational Health Clinic policy.
