Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Direct Patient Feeding for the VA Medical Center to include menu planning, coordinating special dietary requirements, special catering and other food production services
- Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
- Ensure safe food quality, safe food handling, and product availability
- Inventory control, labor cost, and budget management
- Ensure day-to-day compliance to JCAHO, VA, VCS and HACCP guidelines relative to food production operations
- Supervise assigned personnel rendering guidance, oversight and training
- Reports to General Manager
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- You will be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
- Subject to background/security investigation.
- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 for this agency.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Must currently be a Registered Dietitian and be able to provide documentation.
- Minimum 1-year prior experience in patient feeding in an in-patient setting
- Hands-on leadership with a strong focus on service and hospitality
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- ServSafe certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire date
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and some nights.
