The North Texas Veterans Health Care System is seeking a highly qualified Physician to fill the Interventional Cardiologist position at Dallas, Texas.
Duties
Interventional Cardiology Core :
Clinical privileges granted in Interventional Cardiology will be in conformance with existing Bylaws of the Medical Staff of the VA North Texas Health Care System. A physician must be licensed in any state and must be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM requires a minimum of three years of progressive education, following graduation from medical school, in a program in Cardiology accredited by the ACGME, completing all phases of fellowship education in the subspecialty of interventional cardiology.

- Percutaneous coronary interventions
- Peripheral vascular interventions (non-cardiac)
- Rotational atherectomy
- Valvuloplasty
- Transcatheter aortic valve replacement
- Transesophageal echocardiogram
- Percutaneous mitral valve device implantation
- Left atrial appendage closure device
- LDL apheresis
- Right heart catheterization

To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
