Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Be a member of the Primary Care Clinical Board.
- Work closely with the Women Veteran Program Manager (WVPM), forming the foundation of the women's health program.
- Responsible for working with the Primary Care Division to determine the appropriate model of care for Comprehensive Women's Health Care at all sites of care at the health system including CBOCs.
- Collaborate with PCD leadership to ensure women veterans are offered and assigned to WH-PCPs and WH-PCP receive appropriate training and panel size reductions.
- Ensure proper resource allocation to WH PACT teams.
- Collaborate with other clinical services including but not limited to operative care, specialty care, radiology, mental health, laboratory, and emergency department to ensure appropriate clinical services are available to women veterans.
- Coordinate with gynecology service to ensure appropriate services for women Veterans, including service line agreements, co-location in comprehensive women's health clinic, ED coverage, adequate operating room allocation, staffing, and urgent consultation.
- Coordinate with the Office of Education to develop and supervise clinical education programs for women's health providers and trainees.
- Work with Quality and Safety to review and monitor all clinical performance measures by gender. T
- Establish the priorities and directions for implementing quality improvement on clinical quality measures that apply to women's health.
- Collaborate with Division Chiefs to address quality gaps disproportionately affecting women veterans, including but not limited to breast and cervical cancer screening, osteoporosis screening, and interpersonal violence screening(IPV).
- Be the subject matter expert for patient safety concerns affecting women veterans and coordinate with the WVPM to address gaps in environment of care.

The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. (
NOTE: VA physicians involved in academic training programs may be required to be board certified for faculty status.) Approved residencies are: (1) Those approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), b) OR [(2) Those approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA),OR - Other residencies (non-US residency training programs followed by a minimum of five years of verified practice in the United States), which the local Medical Staff Executive Committee deems to have provided the applicant with appropriate professional training and believes has exposed the physician to an appropriate range of patient care experiences.
