Position: AdvancedMechanical Assembly Technician

Hours: 6am-2:30pm (occasional overtime), Monday-Friday.

To better serve the North America market, USDE built a new factory in Oxford, CT with over 100,000 square feet of state-of-art production area and a two-story office building. Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Assemble various mechanical components into the completed stages of our products.
  • Working from engineering specifications, blueprints, and general instructions, plans assembly procedures and methods.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as wrenches, rivet guns, nut drivers, etc.
  • Assure quality checks as part of assembly process.
  • Examine completed workpieces for completeness, defects such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective.
  • Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection etc.
  • Follow company procedures and directives.
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
  • Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned as required.
  • Execute special tasks within the assembly process.
  • Temporary assignments as floater in different assembly teams.

Skills and experience

  • Mid-level proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools, wire cutters/strippers, crimping tools, etc.
  • Blueprint and technical document reading.
  • 2 years prior assembly and/or Manufacturing experience desirable
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Neat and orderly execution of tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time while performing physically demanding repetitive job tasks.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
