Position: Mechanism Assembly Technician
Hours: 6am-2:30pm (occasional overtime), Monday-Friday.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Assemble various mechanical components into the completed stages of our products.
- Working from engineering specifications, blueprints, and general instructions, plans assembly procedures and methods.
- Execute special tasks within the assembly process.
- The ability to use computers and technology effectively.
- Assignments as floater in different assembly teams.
- Ability to use hand tools such as wrenches, rivet guns, nut drivers, etc.
- Assure quality checks as part of assembly process.
- Examine completed workpieces for completeness, defects such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective.
- Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection etc.
- Follow company procedures and directives.
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Being able to track deadlines, juggle schedules, and allocate time to tasks
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned as required.
Skills and experience
- Mid-level proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools, wire cutters/strippers, crimping tools, etc.
- Blueprint and technical document reading.
- 2 years prior assembly and/or Manufacturing experience desirable.
- 1 carpentry experience.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Neat and orderly execution of tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time while performing physically demanding repetitive job tasks.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
