Job Description: Shipping Lead
The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the shipping process within the organization. The Shipping Lead collaborates with various departments to optimize processes, minimize errors, and meet customer delivery requirements. The shipping lead will manage the inventory tracking system (Epicor) to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels. Evaluate deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures. Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm M-F, Occasional OT.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Receive all incoming goods and materials physically and in the computer system.
- Manage all inventory locations throughout the facility.
- Execute all inventory transfers and transactions in computer system.
- Perform cycle counts, cut work orders, and inventory verification for all materials.
- Assist packing requirements, tools, materials, and duties.
- Manage all finished goods on the computer.
- Handle logistical requirements.
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Ensure all products and materials are handled and stored correctly to avoid damages and losses.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Load/unload all deliveries.
- Assist in management of any shipping/receiving supplies.
- Identify, pack and label outgoing goods.
- Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned as required.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of shipping processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- ERP experience, Epicor preferred.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time while performing physically demanding repetitive job tasks.
- Attention to detail, self-motivation, ability to work in a team environment and neatness are essential skills for this position.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
