General Warehouse CDC Will Call
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a 1st Shift Distribution Center (DC) Order Puller in our Landover, MD CDC. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and packing customer orders for distribution, as well as providing excellent customer support in a will-call roll. You will interact directly with customers, ensuring that they receive exceptional service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Pulling: Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment to meet daily distribution schedules.
- Customer Support: Provide friendly and professional customer service at the will-call desk, assisting with order pickups, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Customer Facing Interaction: Engage with customers in a positive, courteous manner, ensuring a high level of satisfaction during their interaction with the distribution center.
- High Motor & Excellent Attitude: Maintain an optimistic, proactive approach to daily tasks with a strong sense of urgency and energy to meet productivity goals.
- CDC Compliance: Follow all safety and CDC guidelines to ensure a safe work environment, including proper use of PPE and adherence to hygiene protocols.
- Inventory Control: Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies to management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse team, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or customer-facing role preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when dealing with customers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift certification is a plus, but training will be provided.
Work Environment:
- Full-time position (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with significant customer interaction in a will-call role.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
