Walters Wholesale Electric Company, An affiliate of USESI, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This position will be located in our Brea, CA location.
Function:
The Inside Sales Representative for the Capital Projects Division is responsible for managing high-volume customer accounts with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service. This role requires the ability to multitask effectively while handling large and complex quotes and orders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Process high-volume orders and respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, ensuring accurate and on-time delivery of electrical components and supplies.
Collaborate closely with vendors, purchasing, and internal teams to ensure competitive pricing and effective issue resolution.
Accurately enter and track large orders in the system, maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Proactively monitor and communicate delays, discrepancies, or problem items to customers and internal stakeholders.
Maintain open communication with internal project teams to support smooth execution of capital project timelines.
Manage calling, open order, backorder, and trouble queues with urgency and accountability.
Provide customers with detailed product information including pricing, availability, lead times, and inventory levels.
Prepare and manage complex sales quotes, factoring in volume pricing, bid deadlines, and project-specific needs.
Support the preparation of tenders/proposals in collaboration with external suppliers and internal departments.
Maintain and update customer project files and data in an organized and consistent manner.
Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma with minimum 2 years related experience
Effective written and verbal communication
Knowledge of Eclipse or ERP software a plus
Able to meet tight deadlines, and follow up on commitments
Strong sales and customer service aptitude
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective multitasker with experience handling complex or large-scale sales orders.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Familiarity with electrical products and distribution is a plus.
