What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at U.S. Farathane?
US Farathane is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer. To develop and maintain quality systems according to standards and to assist customers with any issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Statistical support including DOE for product and process
- Set up SPC parameters for QAS. Instruct dimensional Inspectors as need on technique
- Develop and maintain quality system for projects assigned
- Lead and / or participate in implementation and discipline of SPC
- Develop process flow and control plans and assist in process FMEA's
- Develop all quality related instruction sheets
- Participate on AQP teams as needed
- Participate on 8D and Continuous Improvement teams, provide problem solving consultations as needed.
- Put PPAP Packages together for submission to customer.
- Responsible for resolution of customer issues for the project assigned
- Coordinate gage R & R studies for all new programs
- Provide leadership and guidance for quality personnel in the use of quality methods
- Coordinate and / or perform capability studies
- Development and completion of customer sample submission packages
- Direct contact for all assigned customer base
- Work with customers for resolution of product quality issues
- Perform all other duties assigned by Quality Manager
- Report any unsafe conditions to your Supervisor
- Continue training as required
- Understands customer specific requirements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Supervisor to maintain and operate a safe, efficient and quality conscious operation
- Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperation with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules. Familiar with environmental plant postings.
- Supervisory Responsibilities- In the event that this position becomes vacant, the Quality Manager will resume responsibilities.
