What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Manager position at U.S. Farathane?
SUMMARY : Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing business operations, delegating tasks to team members and resolving problems that occur on their shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Maintain optimal performance of the operations by monitoring OEE, downtime, scrap, cost savings projects, and safety metrics
- Facilitator of all daily shift operations
- Initial investigator of al issues involving hourly employees
- Overseer of on the job training
- Enforcement of production, quality housekeeping and safety standards
- Ensure proper and timely application of all process improvements
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work to develop specific goals to exceed customer expectations
- Coach, mentor, and develop others
- Develop and build teams to encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation
- Monitor equipment for maximum performance
- Responsible for all personnel safety, conduct, and discipline
- Responsible for all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
- Responsible to ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS :
from a four-year college or university; tow to five years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
