JOB TITLE: Project Manager, Appraiser
Forte is engaged by the real estate and/or property and casualty insurance industry to provide technical experts to assist with resolving insurance claims. From the time we receive assignments until the final invoice, Forte’s operations department manages all projects, including those of the appointed expert, using people skills and customized job-management software. Our delivery is typically in the form of a written report that answers specific technical questions. We deliver our product promptly and accurately to grow market share and maintain customer loyalty. We deliver on time and on budget, and above all, we offer industry-leading customer service. This role requires a client-centric approach, attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and a positive, growth-minded attitude.
Duties will consist of the following at a minimum:
- Project management:
o receives, enter, and verify new assignments
o assigns appropriate field experts based on technical ability and geography
o develops and communicate scope and budget with clients and with field experts
o strives to manage the project within internal and client-dictated KPIs and cycle times
o adhering to budgets, customer-requested specifications, and service agreements
o proactively keeping the customer apprised of status and updating file status in the job management system
o review field expert’s time and expense and generate invoice
o escalate/discuss issues with account managers or operations management as needed
o track and record project management time on each file
- Recruiting and onboarding new field experts
- Complete appraisal peer reviews
- General customer service, phone/email, responding to client inquiries and requests, providing solutions, status updates, and communicating client requests with the field
- Work collaboratively with account executives to increase customer loyalty and strengthen relationships with the clients
- Provide input on operational issues and inefficiencies
The following skills are integral to success in this role:
- Certified Appraiser
- 8 years insurance experience
- 5 years in personal lines appraisals
- Familiar with Xactimate and Xactanalysis
- Exceptional at organization, documentation, and communication
- Remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Document files fastidiously to ensure transparency and to foster teamwork, sharing job management responsibilities with the operations team in a CSR capacity
- Growth-minded – sharing ideas with operations to improve process efficiencies, and foster open communication, etc.
- Computer literate and proficient in using Microsoft Office, various browsers, and PDF programs. Ability to learn our Job Management System (FileTrac)
