USGBC’s Technology team is seeking a Vice President of IT Enterprise Architecture. This leader will design, mentor, and manage the organization's enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will attract top-tier talent, deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions, and oversee the architecture team. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position is responsible for day-to-day IT architecture projects and engineering, while driving continuous process improvements and operational efficiencies. The role also involves cross-departmental collaboration on key initiatives and platforms.
This position offers the flexibility to be remote, based within the United States.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Working with the CIO, develop and maintain the enterprise IT architecture vision and strategy, aligning it with business goals
- Ensure successful execution of business plans to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share
- Develop short- and long-term IT portfolio and plans to meet organizational needs
- Communicate IT vision, strategy, metrics, annual goals, and success factors to the CIO and other stakeholders
- Build and lead a successful team by recruiting and retaining top IT talent through systematic and unbiased approaches
- Define SMART delivery goals in alignment with functional leads
- Partner with peers and regional leads to establish strategy and operations plans
- Share best practices and optimize team performance and productivity
- Manage IT Architecture, Standards, Processes, and Tools by overseeing day to day operations of IT architecture teams to ensure high quality and user satisfaction
- Plan, design, communicate, and manage IT projects, including tracking and leading system upgrades and replacements
- Standardize tools and processes for agile development, estimation, and deployment
- Monitor projects for adherence to defined IT architecture processes
- Develop and regularly test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
- Implement and administer critical security controls
- Manage detailed budgets for capital and operational expenses related to IT architecture efforts
- Ensure regulatory and audit compliance throughout the IT architecture life cycle
- Drive for results by setting high performance standards for self and others
- Develop and sustain customer relationships based on understanding customer / stakeholder needs
- Support employees and business partners with diverse styles, abilities, motivations, and cultural perspectives
- Develop collaborative relationships with other technical teams, employees, and business partners
