Training Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing training initiatives to ensure that all employees and volunteers, both current and new, are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for success. This role supports continuous education, employee development, and onboarding across all organizational programs and projects. The Training Coordinator also plays a key role in coordinating and supporting the engagement, training, and scheduling of volunteers to enhance their contributions to organizational goals. By collaborating closely with the People & Culture team, the Training Coordinator ensures that all training programs reflect the organization’s core values and commitment to excellence.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and oversee training programs for all employees, including but not limited to regular staff, Event Leads, Logistic Leads, and Event Managers.
- Support the development and delivery of training tools, materials, and formal progression plans to enhance employee skill sets.
- Facilitate onboarding and continuous education for new hires and existing staff across various roles and departments.
- Ensure training materials and programs reflect organizational values, mission, and high standards of service.
- Coordinate and deliver specialized training for programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
- Schedule and provide refresher training sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills among staff.
- Research and integrate new methods, tools, and technologies to improve training programs.
- Participate in recruitment efforts by representing the organization at job fairs, college events, and other outreach opportunities.
- Attend organizational events such as hunger projects, local or otherwise, to observe and provide on-the-job training and mentorship.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Event Managers to support the development and engagement of Event Support Teams.
- Coordinate and support the engagement, training, and scheduling of warehouse volunteers across various programs and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of People and Culture.

Requirements:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year or more of experience in training and development, including onboarding and continuous education.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong skills in facilitation, public speaking, and delivering engaging presentations both in-person and virtually.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with program-based or project-based training is a plus.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor activities.
- Frequent use of computers and repetitive finger motion.
- Physical activities including bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, and pulling may be required.
- Up to 35% travel may be necessary.
