What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler (EWP) position at U.S. LUMBER GROUP?
We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler, Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 2:30 pm to join our VALUES based organization.
- Majority of duties at this facility is protected from elements, under cover, or in enclosures
In this role you will focus on:
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Combilift, forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete
assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders
and transporting material. - Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
- Accurately pull daily orders.
- Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
- Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
Qualifications:
- Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
- Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience.
- Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
- Identify and read tickets, SKU’s, UPC labels and reports
