ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will perform maintenance and repair of grounds and ranges. You will operate various pieces of heavy equipment that supports clearing debris, maintaining roads, maintaining trenches / bunkers, and target obstacles. You will perform a variety of tasks involved with the operation of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles to include dump trucks, cargo trucks, front-end loaders, backhoes and forklifts (gross weight of more than 22,000 pounds). You will perform a variety of tasks including installing, constructing, repairing or modifying items and structures such as framework, panels, concrete forms, fortified trenches and bunkers. You will perform duties as a hazardous materials specialist. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The Screen-out Element for this position is : The Ability to Do the Work without Normal Supervision operating one or more types of heavy equipment to push, pull, pile, or load materials (e.g., sand, gravel, earth), to move and cover refuse, and to clear brush, rocks, tree stumps, and other material. Performing maintenance, such as checking and replenishing fluids to proper levels, examining and changing filters, lubricating equipment, changing cutting edges and making necessary adjustments.
