Duties
Monitors operation of the Engraving Shop during absence of the services manager. Responsible for providing the highest quality of customer service and sales support to all customers in the Engraving Shop and the satellite location at the Visitor Center on assigned days. Prepares reports of significant occurrences during the shift.
Responsible for the issue, receipt, and control of cash. Issues cash banks to sales associate. Balances register readings to sales and funds. Prepares bank deposit and cash banks for the next day¿s business. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment, and property in accordance with directives and regulations. Ensures all store records are maintained appropriately. Must be alert to theft and take appropriate action.
Responsible for specialty orders for Photo Crystal, T-Shirts, and Coins. Prepares and maintains Excel spreadsheet which accurately contains all the appropriate information required by the contractor for the specialty merchandise. Receives and verifies completed orders from applicable contractor. Prepares completed orders for customer pick up. Packs and mails replacement or reorders to offsite customers.
Opens and/or closes the activity at the beginning and/or ending of the day¿s business in the absence of the Supervisor. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift.
May schedule training or conduct initial training instruction as required.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 46 lbs. with assistance.

EVALUATIONS:
Qualifications
A minimum of one-year experience in a retail/service business, which demonstrates knowledge of retail/service operations and procedures, or equivalent leadership experience is required. Must have knowledge of business mathematics, cash handling procedures, and merchandising methods. Ability to lead the work of others. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Attention to detail is required. Working knowledge of a personal computer and peripheral equipment using Microsoft software or a similar integrated software program. Working knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphics utilization and implementation.
