The Landscape and Grounds Foreman at the Whitewater Center (Whitewater) is responsible for overseeing and working alongside a team of Landscape Crew Leads and Technicians to ensure the completion of scheduled landscape maintenance and any assigned work orders. Additionally, the Foreman is responsible for ensuring all staff are in compliance with company standards, to include safety, quality, and operations. The Landscape and Grounds Foreman is an on-site, hourly, full-time, benefits eligible role who reports to the Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, coordinate, supervise, and lead projects and crews.
- Motivate and develop a team of 4-8 members.
- Support the hiring process and on-boarding of new employees.
- Manage and prioritize assigned work orders.
- Work closely with the Facilities Administrator on a variety of daily and weekly tasks to meet administrative requirements.
- Proficiency in purchasing and estimating for materials and equipment.
- Comply with all department and company policies including work quality standards, safety standards, and operations standards.
- Develop the Whitewater grounds by maintaining the appearance of hardscapes such as : roads, curbs, gutters, parking lots, walkways, stairs, fences, retaining walls and stormwater structures.
- Maintaining and improving softscapes such as : turf and ornamental plants, gardens, landscape beds, natural areas, and water retention areas.
- Assist other departments, facility crews and contractors with maintenance and projects on-site.
- Manage irrigation and pest control throughout the facilities.
- Responsible for materials handling and storage.
- Maintain accurate records of in-house inspections and inventories.
- Other duties as assigned.

The Facilities Department is responsible for facility maintenance, water quality, construction, landscaping, and trail development. The department oversees inspections, repairs, maintenance, and safety of the Whitewater Center’s activities and infrastructure.
