THIS JOB POSITION REQUIRES ENLISTMENT INTO THE UNITED STATES NAVY
The U.S. Navy is looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, testing, and maintaining the mechanical systems that power our ships, submarines, and other critical equipment. As part of a highly technical and mission-driven organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the U.S. Navy remains at the forefront of advanced engineering technology.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design & Development : Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and machinery for naval platforms and systems. Your work will directly impact the performance and safety of Navy ships, submarines, aircraft, and shore-based facilities.
- System Maintenance & Optimization : Oversee the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems aboard Navy vessels, including propulsion systems, HVAC, hydraulic, and other critical mechanical components.
- Analysis & Testing : Perform simulations and analyze mechanical systems to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and performance expectations. Conduct testing to validate designs and system functionality.
- Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams, including naval architects, electrical engineers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical systems with other technological systems and improve overall system performance.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving : Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues that arise during operational and maintenance phases, ensuring mission readiness and minimizing downtime.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain detailed design records, test results, and technical reports for Navy project tracking, audits, and compliance purposes.
