Your role in helping us shape the future:
We are looking for a motivated journalism student who’s interested in consumer health and wellness to join our Consumer Advice Health team this summer. The role will be primarily to assist with developing story ideas, updating health stories, outreach to experts, creating video and graphics for social media, and fact-checking and medical review . For the right intern, bylined writing opportunities are also possible.

Are you up to the challenge?
- Help research and write content on Medicare, Senior Living, Healthy Aging, Wellness and Disease Prevention
- Fact checking
- Update, edit and optimize older health stories
- Create videos and other multimedia products for social media
- Eligible candidates must be one of the following:
- Part-time or full-time students who have completed 48 credit hours (rising juniors/seniors and graduate students) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
- Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in the workplace
- Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite and Google Docs
- 3.0 GPA or above preferred
- Knowledge of AP style
- SEO savvy and some familiarity with Google Analytics, Semrush or other SEO tools
- Interest and/or familiarity in writing consumer advice content about health and wellness
- Video and graphics capability
- Social media savvy
- 10 weeks; starting on Monday, June 2 through Friday, Aug 8, 2025
- We expect interns to work 37.5 hours/week, Monday- Friday
- All candidates must be able to work a hybrid in-office work schedule from our Washington, DC or New York offices.
- Internship pays $17.50 per hour
