Summary:
As a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization, USOSM is in search of an exceptionally driven Facilities Project Manager to take charge of the day-to-day maintenance and facilities projects across our network of oral surgery practices throughout the United States. The ideal candidate must possess a thorough understanding of building systems, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, adept vendor management capabilities, comprehensive project management experience, and a foundational knowledge of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Planning.
It is imperative that the Facilities Project Manager excels in communication, effectively collaborating with Surgeons, field operations teams, and a diverse array of departmental stakeholders. This role demands a strategic focus on cost-effectiveness, steadfast commitment to upholding the high-quality standards that define our organization, and a persistent pursuit of operational excellence.
In this position, you will report directly to the Real Estate Manager, playing a critical role in shaping the future of our facilities and contributing to the overall success of USOSM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a proactive facilities management program:
- Establish preventative maintenance schedules for all locations.
- Create and maintain a centralized database of facility information, including equipment inventories, warranties, and service records.
- Develop and implement standardized procedures for handling maintenance requests, repairs, and emergencies.
- Implement a system for tracking and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to facilities management.
- Manage day-to-day facilities operations:
- Oversee the timely and efficient resolution of maintenance and repair issues across all locations.
- Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring quality service and competitive pricing.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, plumbing issues, storm damage, water intrusion and HVAC problems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and building codes.
- Oversee renovation and construction projects:
- Manage small renovation projects, including coordinating with contractors, obtaining permits, and ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
- Provide input and support for larger capital improvement projects.
- Develop and implement a capital planning strategy:
- Conduct regular assessments of facility conditions to identify capital needs.
- Develop long-term capital plans for reinvestment in facilities, including budgeting and prioritization of tenant improvement projects.
- Manage insurance claims and mold remediation projects:
- Coordinate mold remediation projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols.
- Other responsibilities:
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
- Manage facility budgets and expenses.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in facilities management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in facilities management, with a proven track record of success in managing multiple locations. Experience in the dental/healthcare industry is a plus.
- Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) are highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel extensively to various locations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Location: Remote - This role will require travel to our nationwide network of Oral Surgery Practices. Up to 50% Travel.
Qualifications
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
