Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will project a warm and professional image, be articulate, and possess strong multitasking skills. This role involves assisting the oral surgeon during procedures, preparing patients, maintaining surgical instruments, and delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the oral surgeon during chairside procedures, including operatory setup and cleanup.
- Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take diagnostic X-rays and operate 3D scanning equipment.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients.
- Maintain and accurately patient records and treatment plans.
- Monitor inventory levels of surgical supplies and replenish as needed.
- Deliver exceptional patient care with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license (required).
- CPR certification (required). DAANCE certification is a plus.
- At least six months of dental assisting experience is preferred; oral surgery experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attentic;m to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
