Summary You will serve as a CRANE OPERATOR in the Rigging and Equipment Operations Division (Code 740) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will assist journey level Crane Operators in the operation and inspection of cranes. You will assist higher graded Crane Operators and receive on-the-job training (OJT) and perform recurring work, as well as receive formal training toward the target grade. You will operate travelling and rotating cranes equipped with movable booms of 220 feet or less, such as portal cranes and 220 Ton capacity truck cranes. You will follow crane movement instructions by using sound powered phones or hand held radios, exercising extreme care and precision to prevent costly accidents. You will read and understands attributes of the Operational Daily Check List (ODCL). You will be responsible to ensure that the crane is not subjected to overloads, impact loading, or side pulls that could affect the safety of the crane and personnel in the immediate area.
