Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist in the Ordanace Operations Department of NMC CWD DET SEAL BEACH AND DETACHMENT FALLBROOK. Responsibilities You will investigate and analyze problems in the quality an quantity of work operations. You will develop plans and guidelines relating to performance standards and quality checks to meet a unit goals and objectives. You will initiate personnel actions to fill vacancies, review applications and make selections of subordinate personnel. You will maintain liaison with various representatives regarding matters related to ordnance material. You will supervise other to ensure shipments are properly loaded, blocked, braced and secured to prevent damage. You will plan for optimal storage capacity and ensure all safety, security and quality requirements are met. You will manage Inventory, Planning and Logistics Support functions of the unit, ensuring compliance with all rules, regulations, and requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : Overseeing inventory control by analyzing and leading logistics operations (e.g. management, transportation, packing, quality control) to ensure effective recording and distribution of ordnance material. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and / or unusual duty hours may be required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
