U.S. Pipe is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Manager of Technical Resources to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall Technical Resource team regarding technical matters concerning product application, construction specifications, installation procedures, customer complaints, and other services required to promote the company’s products and maintain the end user’s satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities
Since this is a heavy industrial environment there will be exposure to shop operations. The employee will be exposed from time to time to the following working conditions: extreme heat and cold, noise, vibration, oils, and atmospheric conditions such as dust and fumes. When in the shop production area, the employee will be required to wear determined PPE which may include but is not limited to steel toed metatarsal shoes, safety glasses with foam lining, face mask, gloves, a bump cap, or hearing protection.

U.S. Pipe is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Manager of Technical Resources to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall Technical Resource team regarding technical matters concerning product application, construction specifications, installation procedures, customer complaints, and other services required to promote the company’s products and maintain the end user’s satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities
- Hiring, training, assigning, tracking, mentoring, monitoring and troubleshooting new sales engineer staff.
- Support daily operations goals by advising the sales engineers, making recommendations through strategic planning.
- Dealing with issues of customer service standards and quality control, troubleshooting productivity issues, accomplishing auditing operations and making changes and improvements when necessary.
- Address sales engineering financial department goals.
- Communicate in order to keep service contracts current, and preventative maintenance.
- Achieve related duties and responsibilities as necessary in order to support, organize and monitor the success of the sales engineering department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Proven sales experience in a related product or service.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Expert understanding of service and product, and ability to innovate new ways the product can serve customers.
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.
- Innate drive to succeed and take initiative.
- Strong organizational talents and abilities to work under pressure and in new environments.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
