Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service a wide variety of rental equipment, mining machinery, and trucking vehicles. This position involves working with both heavy-duty and specialized machinery, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order, safe, and operational for daily use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rental Equipment:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair various rental equipment (e.g., generators, lifts, excavators, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on rental machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance and service on equipment to ensure it is ready for use by customers.
- Keep accurate records of equipment repairs, parts used, and service logs.
- Mining Equipment:
- Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on mining equipment, including drills, loaders, haul trucks, and crushers.
- Ensure that all mining machinery operates safely and efficiently by adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Work closely with mining teams to ensure minimal downtime for equipment during operations.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Trucking Equipment:
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of trucks, including light-duty, heavy-duty, and specialized vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair issues related to engine performance, transmission, suspension, and other critical systems.
- Ensure trucks are roadworthy by conducting regular inspections and adhering to safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system repairs.
- Previous experience in a rental equipment environment is a plus.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to mining, heavy equipment, and trucking.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including outdoor environments.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and work in tight spaces for extended periods.
Additional Information:
- Work Environment: The mechanic will work both in the shop and on job sites, including mining operations and rental equipment locations.
- Schedule: Full-time position with the possibility of overtime based on business needs.
