JOB PURPOSE:
The Bulk Load Operator is primarily responsible for loading finished product into bulk trucks and railcars, but also packages materials into super sacks and drums, as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Weighing trucks and railcars and then adjusts product quantities, as directed.
- Labeling containers, container tags, and products.
- Inspecting materials, products, trucks, and railcars at each step of the loading process.
- Recording information such as weight, time and date, the product was packaged, and completing required paperwork for shipments, including seals application at each port of entry for both railcars and bulk trucks, in addition to accurate identification of the seals on the seal record sheet.
- Conducting regular sampling as instructed for each product load.
- Operating mobile operations equipment and positioning railcars on-site.
- Completing all downtime tracking forms and control charts used in the bulk loading process.
- Keeping work area clear and clean of all trash, debris, and excess clay spillage.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding both of job-related safety hazards, safe lifting techniques and operating procedures of mobile equipment.
- Understanding all operational procedures pertaining to Bulk Loading Operations, including prevention of feed product contamination by activated adsorbents and catalysts.
- Other similar duties, as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- High School diploma is required.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Successful bidders must meet basic skills minimum requirements pursuant to Article V Paragraph 7 of the agreement. On the job training for 30 days per union contract book.
- Must understand plant lock out/tag out procedures and know the location of all electrical disconnects in the bulk loading operations work areas.
- Must be able to troubleshoot.
- Must maintain a valid Mississippi driver's license.
- Must have current forklift license.
- Must be trained on all ISO 9002 procedures.
- Must be able to pass basic skills job specific test. MSHA Part 46 (24 hrs) training before starting position on safety and site-specific hazards.
