Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5PM - 3:30PM
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate various types of heavy equipment. Receive and carry out written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding material to move or excavate. Fluidly and effectively move machine, create, and move stockpiles and an ability to dig, lift, swing, and dump contents of shovel into truck, car, conveyor, hopper, or stockpile. Responsible for the understanding and communication of daily requirements. Meet and exceed productivity standards in a timely manner and adapts to changes in the work environment. Maintain radio contact with Supervisor to receive instructions.
- Responsible for the safe operation of equipment, follow all traffic rules on and off the company property. Inspect equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Perform routine maintenance (lubing of equipment) on an as-needed basis. Inspect equipment for defects before, during and after shifts and submits report indicating equipment condition. Follow all federal and state safety regulations and company safety policies/procedures. Keep the equipment clean and presentable. Perform equipment maintenance as required.
- General plant cleanup, including but not limited to cleaning with broom, squeegee, vacuum, shovel. Picking up trash, cutting/pulling weeds, painting, filing paperwork, assisting with quality related testing, calibrations, monitoring and inspections. Operating a forklift for maintenance, or shipping departments. Assisting with inventory needs, conducting safety and quality related audits and training as qualified. Perform manual labor such as shovel cleanup work.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Prior heavy equipment operator experience is required.
- The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, Strong attention to detail.
- Possess an excellent operation and safety record, Up to date knowledge of laws and compliance regulations
- Consistently at work and on time, meet schedules and deadlines on time
- Gather and analyze information skillfully and with alternate solutions in mind when necessary
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
