Position Description 
The Coordinator, Human Resources is responsible for supporting the total life cycle of the employment experience under the direction of the VP, Human Resources or a HR Business Partner. This position focuses on recruitment and selection, onboarding, employee engagement, and training and education. The Coordinator, People Experience assists the department in coordinating interviews, onboarding, tracking and monitoring employee training. This position is responsible for the initiation of the recruitment cycle, onboarding, the intern program, processing hires and employee changes, some employee communications, employee relations, performance review etc.

Primary Responsibilities

Recruiting & Onboarding
 
  • Assist Manager, People Experience in managing the recruitment cycle by developing job postings, screening resumes, scheduling external and internal interviews, and may participate in the interview process. Ensure applications are completed by all applicants prior to interview. 
  • Post jobs on various job boards including local universities, and other sites identified ensuring sources capture a diverse candidate pool. 
  • Manages the Onboarding process in Paylocity for full time, part time and intern employees.
  • Assist with any onboarding overflow with Network employees. 
  • Coordinate new hire paperwork for all full-time, part-time, and temporary staff including collection of all new hire documents.  
  • Maintain proper I9 paperwork and audit I9s for retention purposes on an annual basis.   
  • Scheduling and assisting with New Hire Orientation process.  
  • Audit and ensure updated job descriptions are on file and in a central location. Work with Department Managers when necessary to ensure correct template. 
  • Ensure background checks and Safe Sport are complete before new hires start. 
  • Process Employee changes or Terminations paperwork under Manager, People Experience supervision. 
  • Manage the intern program. Identify sourcing strategies to ensure a diverse program. 
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance with local, federal, and state regulations concerning employment. 
  • Update and maintain Concur, Emtrain and other platforms.
  • Tracking and sending out 90-day Nike Game Day benefit reminder.
 
Coordinator/Generalist 

  • Maintain employee personnel files (paper and cloud); Organize and file documents in an appropriate manner. 
  • Assist Manager, People Experience and Director, People & Culture in ensuring Performance Reviews are completed and returned in a timely manner. 
  • Process verifications of employment. 
  • Monitoring the HR inbox for any relevant and urgent questions.
  • Field employee questions relating to established policies and procedures. Direct employees to HRBPs, Manager Total Rewards, or Director, People & Culture for high level issues or concerns. 
  • Ensure the organization is in compliance with updated Labor posters at all locations. 
  • Provide administrative support to VP, Human Resources. 
  • Back up to the Receptionist when needed (i.e. vacation, sick, etc.).
  • All other duties assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
 
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. 
  • 1-2 years experience; or combination of years of experience and education. 
  • Familiarity with HR concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. 
  • Familiar with employment laws relating to HR.  
  • Problem solver and critical thinking skills.  
  • Highly organized with a record of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.  
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality and emotional maturity. 
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as job duties demand.
  • Ability to understand internal processes as they relate to new hires, onboarding, new hires, and administering human resources programs and systems. 
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities. 
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation).
  • General knowledge of soccer.
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments.
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. 
  • 2 years HR experience is preferred. 
  • Knowledgeable of HR concepts and basic employment laws.
  • Familiar with HRIS and ATS; Paylocity experience preferred. 
  • Fluent in multiple languages is desirable. 
  • Knowledge of recruitment and selection, onboarding, employee relations HRIS.  
  • Familiarity with the soccer, sports industry and non-profits, a plus.
  • Engages with diplomacy and tact with people of all levels, functions, and cultures. 
  • Possesses flexibility to change focus and adjust quickly as demands change. 
  • Multi-lingual fluency, verbal and written, preferred.
