Description of Position : Serve as a United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) Sensitive Activities Coordinator, Subject Matter Expert and Specialist to plan, coordinate, synchronize, and advise command-wide sensitive activities, manage command-level programs, and facilitate the Sensitive Activities Integration Cell (SAIC) per direction of the J3X Division Chief.

Position Duties / Responsibilities :

Plans, coordinates and advises leaders on implementation of new ideas, procedures, processes, methods or approaches of substantial scope, difficulty, and complexity in areas of short / long-range strategic planning and development in support of Commander objectives
Operationalizing sensitive intelligence in support of National Security objectives and policies throughout USSPACECOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) and across trans-regional boundaries.
Plans and Coordinates Sensitive Activities (SA) operations and programs execution. Executes operational planning, coordination, and synchronization of sensitive activities. Works with other Combatant Commands, interagency, and USSPACECOM Components on operational plans and concepts for Combatant Commander approval.
Uses expert knowledge from theories, principles, employment methods, and techniques to support policy and perform overall planning for the organization in the following areas : Irregular Warfare (IW), Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT), subversion, sabotage, Operational Preparation of the Environment (OPE), Special Technical Operations (STO), Special Access Programs (SAP), Identity and Signatures Management (IdM), security management, and Sensitive Special Operations
The incumbent writes or edits regulations, policies, guidelines and procedures amplifying or implementing DoD and Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) policy.
Ensures the security, appropriateness, accuracy, and dissemination of all operational procedures and guidelines.

Key Skills & Abilities :

Knowledge of joint war fighting doctrine, unified combatant command structure, and global command and control constructs

Knowledge of organizations involved with Sensitive Activities, including DoD and Joint organizational structures, national intelligence organizations, and pertinent interagency organizations.

Skilled in effective communication, both orally and in writing; articulate complex issues; and maintain good working relations.

Ability to oversee operational planning teams, participate in operational assessment groups and modify existing orders to affect ongoing operations.

Ability to independently execute projects and / or studies within established time constraints.

Ability to lead study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies.

Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers, customers, and other agencies contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

Qualification Requirements :

At least 1 years of experience at the next lower broadband / grade level (or equivalent) in performing 4-5 major duties of position.

Bachelor’s degree is desirable. Higher level degree such as Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.

Certifications : Joint Information Operations Planner’s Course and / or Joint MILDEC Training Course or Service equivalent preferred.

Sensitive Activities experience is critical to the successful completion of the work. Sensitive Activities experience is highly preferred.

Conditions of Employment :

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance

Position requires drug testing

Occasional travel away from the regular duty location may be required.

May be required to work irregular duty hours including evenings, weekends, and / or holidays
