Summary About the Position : This position is located at the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Serves as Project Manager for USASOC management of multiple emerging ARSOF capabilities into Live Prototype Assessments and concept based experimentation. Responsibility includes intensive planning, managing, budgeting, directing, and coordinating project efforts. Establishes and maintains liaison with U.S. Army Futures Command, Futures and Concepts Command, and Joint Modernization Command and Combatant Commands. Transforms projects into a coherent program structure with an attainable schedule and realistic budget. Manages, directs and coordinates development of Live Prototype systems and applications. Leads or participates in all execution events including communications exercises, rehearsals, and demonstrations. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes 1) Serving as an Project Manager on projects for venues such as Joint Warfighting Assessments (JWA) and Army Future Warfighting Experiments (AFWE); 2) Developing detailed plans for concepts based experimentation for joint military utility assessments and demonstrations; and 3) Overseeing an operational budget that affect long-range program performance. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas : Problem Solving Project Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement : Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some positions allow you to substitute education for expereince, this position is based off experience alone.
