The Manufacturing Process Specialist develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization while maintaining manufacturing plans (e.g.: Item Masters, Product Structures, and Routings) to guide production of engineering class chains and related items; collects production data by applying methods to analyze and document production processes; and identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
- Set-up manufacturing plans to include item masters, Product Structures (BOM), and Routers to comply with print specifications and established manufacturing standards using the MRP system (QAD).
- Review engineering changes and revise manufacturing plans to maintain compliance with print specifications and manufacturing standards.
- Create and edit work orders to supplement planned work in the MRP system.
- Participates in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing standards in cooperation with production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and other stakeholders.
- Participates in design review activities to improve compliance and understanding of manufacturing standards.
- Assists the Quality Manager with the completion of Quality Audits on a rotating basis.
- Daily monitoring of process changes.
- Performs cost roll and annual standards reconciliation.
- Other tasks, projects, functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Some education in related field with five (5) or more years experience in manufacturing processes development.
- Associates degree or higher in related field preferred with three (3) or more years experience.
- Exhibits required in-depth job knowledge and skills.
