Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for building a well-trained team which is passionate about safety, quality, efficiency and company success

· Properly welcome, on-board, train, motivate, develop and retain team members to ensure full staffing levels and promotional opportunities.

· Develop, train, and motivate high potential staff in skilled positions to produce consistency and high quality on assigned line.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and performance discussions to include praising great performance and effectively documenting performance issues and progressive discipline.

· Effectively partner with staff from multiple departments: Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance to ensure all safety, quality and attainment goals are achieved.

· Ensure entire staff is complying with safety requirements.

· Complete incident report when accidents happen, notify appropriate management, and seek medical attention as needed. Determine and communicate root causes.

· Meet or exceed company expectations for production performance to maximize sales

· Ensure effective and efficient operation of assigned production line.

· Complete shift report, KPI tracking and all related documentation at the end of every shift.

· Determine root cause of issues and develop corrective actions to eliminate down time and waste.

· Ensure all corrective actions are fully implemented.

· Communicate production expectations, measure, communicate and manage team to close gaps.

· Ensure adherence to production schedule. Communicate with management and inventory control personnel when schedule must be modified.

· Prepare for change-overs as required to ensure smooth, efficient, effective, timely and complete change-overs and eliminate errors / potential for re-work.

· Properly utilize labor resources to improve efficiency, minimize labor expense and reduce waste

· Ensure effective communication between all staff and management.

· Review and complete all paperwork throughout shift to ensure accuracy.

· Review all entries in Plex and ensure notes are entered as required.

· Ensure attendance of personnel is completed and forward attendance information to appropriate personnel.

· Ensure only the appropriate number of Team Members are assigned to lines and no excess labor is allowed.

· Review and provide input on team member job bids. Endorse team members for promotions or provide specific coaching on performance issues which must be address for team member to receive a future endorsement.

· Coordinate with maintenance to determine length of downtime and send home temps/team members as needed.

· Provide outstanding customer service to our partners

· Initiate investigation and action as needed to report food safety and food quality issues.

· Coordinate with QA to ensure excellent quality is being maintained. Never pack off quality product.

· Ensure customer specifications are being met through testing and immediate reaction.

· Monitor and ensure that all GMP’s, SOP’s, and HACCP are met at all times.

· Ensure Production Floor is SQF ready EVERYDAY.

· Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; responds well to questions. Must be able to communicate clearly in English.

· Bi-lingual preferred but not required

· Teamwork - Contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; supports everyone's efforts to succeed; maintains a positive attitude; generates ideas and suggestions that improve the team’s performance, the efficiency of the process or the quality of the products

· Decision-making – Able to identify problems and think through to solutions. Knows when to act independently and when to involve the support or management teams

· Ability to delegate, plan, and organize based on production needs

· E-mails: Be able to send and receive e-mails to communicate with Management

· Perform related duties as assigned by management

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

· Must be willing to work weekends when needed

· Computer skills – ability to learn specific software programs (Plex) to access paperwork, program equipment for running specific products, produce labels, etc.

· Moderate mechanical aptitude is needed

*This position will ensure that all staff are informed of their food safety and regulatory responsibilities, are aware of their role in meeting the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing, and are informed of their responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

· Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and all other food safety requirements

· Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) requirements

· Reports any food safety problems or potentially unsafe practices/conditions to lead or supervisor

· Constant walking and standing on hard concrete service

· Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting and climbing

· Position will require working in very hot and cold conditions

· Other conditions include flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke and fumes if product burns

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $34.50 per hour
