About the Role
The Housing Transition Specialist will play a critical role in supporting U.S.VETS' mission by coordinating permanent housing programs for homeless, disabled veterans and their families. This position requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as experience working with vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners to establish scattered-site housing units.
- Manage operations and property management of project-based permanent housing programs.
- Assist with new client intakes, evaluations, and placements of veterans and their families.
- Supervise data entry and updating of the Homeless Management Information Systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Public Administration, or related field required.
- Experience working with homeless, disabled individuals, veterans, and/or families in need.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
