Job Summary:The Valet Clerk plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of the valet parking services. This position involves managing vehicle logistics, coordinating with valet attendants, and delivering a positive experience for patrons.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:

    • Greet patrons with courtesy and professionalism, providing a welcoming and positive first impression.
    • Assist customers with information about valet services, parking rates, and any additional offerings.
  2. Vehicle Check-In and Check-Out:

    • Receive vehicles from patrons, document relevant information, and issue claim tickets.
    • Coordinate the timely retrieval of vehicles upon patrons' requests, ensuring accurate ticket verification.
  3. Payment Processing:

    • Collect parking fees from patrons and provide accurate change.
    • Process credit card transactions and maintain a secure and organized cash handling process.
  4. Communication:

    • Effectively communicate with valet attendants to manage the availability of parking spaces.
    • Relay information to valet staff regarding specific customer requests or special arrangements.
  5. Traffic Coordination:

    • Direct traffic efficiently in the valet drop-off and pick-up areas to maintain a smooth flow of vehicles.
    • Work collaboratively with valet attendants to optimize the use of parking spaces.
  6. Vehicle Retrieval and Delivery:

    • Retrieve vehicles promptly upon patrons' requests and deliver them to the designated pick-up area.
    • Ensure the safe handling of patrons' vehicles and report any damage or issues immediately.
  7. Valet Stand Organization:

    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the valet stand.
    • Ensure that all equipment, including claim tickets and signage, is readily available and in good working condition.
  8. Problem Resolution:

    • Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Collaborate with management to resolve any operational issues affecting valet services.
  9. Safety and Security:

    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, especially when handling keys and operating vehicles.
    • Report any safety or security concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service or valet parking is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with basic vehicle operations and parking procedures.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
