As a Principal, UX/UI Designer you will be responsible for design and development of engaging user experiences for a variety of applications. In this role You will conduct in-depth studies and evaluations to understand user interactions, focusing on aspects such as ease of use, perceived value, utility, and task efficiency. Your insights will translate user needs and business requirements into innovative features and functionalities for web and mobile platforms. You will create detailed process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate sophisticated design strategies at our Fort Worth, TX site.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Conduct user research to discover insights, define user personas, and map user journeys to inform the design process.
• Build a variety of design artifacts, such as wireframes, task flows, screen mock-ups, and interactive prototypes, with a strong emphasis on intuitive user experience.
• Develop new product concepts, storyboards, detailed interaction designs, and screen flows, and prototypes to clearly articulate solutions.
• Conduct concept and usability testing to iteratively validate and improve solutions.
• Actively collaborate as part of an agile team to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately.
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions in alignment with the brand.
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
• Collaborate with key collaborators in co-creative workshops to promote alignment and develop innovative solutions.
• Track user experience metrics and report on the success of UX improvements.
• Mature our Design System through feedback and active contribution of know-how and components.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs; Assoc. 9 yrs; M.S. 2 yrs; PhD 0 yrs)
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• Travel requirements: up to 10%
