As a Manufacturing Engineer supporting the manufacturing process, you will be trusted to work on providing support and strengthen the manufacturing process by ensuring continuous improvement in quality, safety, and productivity at our site in Huntington, WV.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Designing arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout
- Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions
- Conducting tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems
- Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
- Ensuring that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
- Conduct Product and Process Related Investigations
- Implement process changes to reduce error reoccurrence
- Writing of deviations (DCTs and QNs) for Manufacturing
- Executions of Actions and CAPAs for Manufacturing
- Ownership of Manufacturing-focused NCIs
- Ensure creation/updates of production SOPs and Master Batch Records
- Execute Continuous Improvement of productivity, quality, safety, and yield
- Manufacturing coordination for Quality Triage
- Ensure process changes are managed through appropriate change control procedures
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 8 yrs; Assoc. 4 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
