As a Sourcing Manager supporting strategic sourcing and procurement business, you will be trusted to work on analyzing expenditure base and identifying cost reduction projects at our Houston, TX site.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Optimizing the selection of suppliers, studying pricing options and examining total cost of ownership.
Driving cost saving alliances across departments and business franchises.
Building strong internal and external procurement and management relationships.
Ensuring site compliance to global procurement policies, legal policies, financial controls, quality directives and relevant SOPs.
Pursuing continuous improvement and risk reduction opportunities.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs;Assoc. 9 yrs; M.S. 2 yrs; PhD 0 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
5 Years of Relevant Experience
Preferred requirements:
Ability to foster strong relationships, both internally and externally.
Strong analytical skills to influence budgeting and pricing options.
Exceptional MS Excel skills, and other data analytics experience; confidence to present data mining findings to business partners and executives.
