We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, hardworking people to join Alcon! As a Warehouse Operator II supporting our Fannin warehouse, you will be trusted with receiving and inspecting incoming materials and preparing materials for shipment in Houston, TX.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Performing a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data
Verifying quantity, weight, and conformance of materials against the shipment record
Preparing records of materials shipped and bills of lading, and routing materials to destinations
Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method Recording received and shipped items
May lay-out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment
Being required to routinely lift to 25-30 pounds, stand for long periods, and work at heights up to 25 feet
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Work Hours: Work hours: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM CST – 3:30 PM EST, with overtime sometimes required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Prior Distribution Center Experience
SAP Experience
Having strong attention to detail and accuracy
