We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Warehouse Operator supporting our warehouse, you will be trusted to perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties, requiring the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data at the facility in Houston, TX, USA.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Performing accurate and quick pick of inventory from warehouse shelves
- Using a handheld scanner to record transactions
- Inspecting inventory for defects and damages during inventory picking
- Coordinating and storing picked inventory into totes or as advised
- Working to ensure that all picking transactions for the day are completed
- Following and maintaining safety standards in the work area and while performing job functions
- Maintaining a clean work warehouse and work area
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Prior Distribution Center Experience
- SAP Experience
- Having strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Prior Forklift experience
Work hours: C Shift: Friday - Sunday (4:00 AM – 4:00 PM and every other Thursday)
