What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACADEMIC RECRUITER II-SHP position at UAB Health System?
Academic Recruiter II will identify, engage, attract and recruit talented undergraduate and graduate candidates for the School of Health Professions and develop, implement and manage recruiting programs and communication strategies for SHP.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops strategic Academic Program recruiting plans for the School of Health Professions in support of undergraduate and graduate program admissions.
- Collaborates with School of Health Professions Academic Program Recruiters and Program Directors to define and implement enrollment objectives.
- Utilizes current and past Academic Program recruiting metrics related to the School of Health Professions to evaluate recruitment needs for each academic program offered within the School of Health Professions.
- Maintains up-to-date recruitment data for departments and programs to identify trends and update strategic recruitment plans.
- Assists with the development and implementation of student recruitment and retention events.
- Collaborates with Program Coordinators and Directors to maintain in-depth knowledge about the specialized programs and career fields offered by the School of Health Professions to successfully recruit a talented and diverse student body.
- Creates targeted communication plans and materials based on established Academic Program recruiting and enrollment objectives.
- Serves as a co-adviser for Student Ambassador and Emerging Leaders programs at the School of Health Professions.
- Develops specialized programming for high schools and community partners to expose students to careers in health care.
- Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, program recruitment, and program admissions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $47,665 - $77,455
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Psychology, Communications, Marketing or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
