DATA PROCESSING SPECIALIST II

Under minimal supervision, uses a variety of software packages to provide advance word processing and desktop publishing services to a department. Enters data into computer, generates reports and tables from input data, and creates and maintains database files. Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars to convey and/or gather information. Provides training on functionality of data system and interprets source documents. Installs software packages and train other office personnel in their use.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support by performing complex research-related tasks
• Acts as a subject matter expert on research methods and equipment functions
• Performs a variety of tests requiring a high degree of proficiency
• Troubleshoots problems and recommends solutions
• Evaluates study results using statistical and multivariate analysis
• May instruct an academic section on research techniques, instruments, methods, and procedures
• Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens
• Perform other duties as assigned

Hourly Wage Range : $17.95-$29.20

Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
