What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician - PRN position at UAB Health System?
Assists the Pharmacist by performing a variety of technical duties related to the preparation, distribution, and control of medications within the hospital. Other responsibilities include those related to clerical functions, inventory control, and charging.
Works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in such a relationship that the supervising pharmacist is fully aware of all activities involved in the preparation and dispensing of medications. Personnel in this position shall not be assigned duties that by law must be performed only by a licensed pharmacist.
- This is a PRN Pharmacy Technician position. The ideal candidate will work (Rotating/Flexible Staffing/Multiple shifts).
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy.
- BLS certification required by the end of employee provisional period.
- Must maintain required certifications.
